Top Spec is a boutique training and lesson program located just 11 miles from downtown Portland on a peaceful 33-acre facility surrounded by forest, pastures, and a flowing creek. Founded by lifelong horsewoman Melissa, Top Spec was created to bridge the gap between horse and rider and to make quality horsemanship accessible in a supportive, welcoming environment.

With a background in Equine Equestrian Studies from the University of Findlay and professional experience in veterinary ultrasound, Melissa brings both knowledge and heart to her program. Her riders have qualified all four IEA teams (middle school & high school, hunt seat & dressage) for Zones and sent five riders to IEA Nationals over the past two years.

Our structured program and diverse 18-horse lesson string—ranging from beginner ponies to a Prix St. Georges schoolmaster—build confident, well-rounded riders who learn to truly understand and adapt to each horse.
